In the time since we last featured Melbourne outfit Halcyon Drive on the site, they’ve seemingly gained an extra member.
The three piece has just dropped their beguiling new single ‘Books For The Holidays’, which is indie-pop at its very finest… great vocals, great production, fab hook (listen below).
“The song is about being frustrated with the state of loneliness,” vocalist Michael Oechsle says. “Part longing over unrequited feelings, part despair, part wonderment at the beauty that surrounds us everyday – this is definitely the most heartfelt tune on the EP.”
Yes, ‘Books For The Holidays’ isn’t the only thing the band has got to crow about; not only will they deliver said EP entitled ‘Untethered’ on May 13, they’ve also announced a national tour in support of it all.
