Wow… The Invisible… So much colour in the one photo, it’s almost an assault on the senses.
A little like their fresh new single ‘So Well’, which premiered on Zane Lowe’s Beats1 late last week and which ropes in the vocal talents of London-based singer songwriter Jessie Ware (who cracked the top 40 here with her last album ‘Tough Love’ back in 2014).
The track is the second to be given a little single love from the trio’s forthcoming third album ‘Patience’, due on Friday June 10, and sees the boys (Dave Okumu, Tom Herbert and Leo Taylor) continue their ascendancy, which has been happening since they were nominated for the Mercury Prize for their first album back in 2009.
‘So Well’ is a lovely piece. Reminiscent of early Pet Shop Boys in many respects, with smooth, echoed production, dreamy back and forth vocals thanks to Dave and Jessie and impossible-to-ignore pop sensibilities.
