The final, proper, unedited version of Meghan Trainor’s music video for her latest single ‘Me Too’ is finally here.
Yes, the original version, which out a couple of days back, was swiftly removed from the net after Meghan herself demanded it be taken down, furious that editors had photoshopped her waist to make her seem slimmer.
“I took down the ‘Me Too’ video because they photoshopped the crap out of me and I’m so sick of it, so I took it down until they fix it,” the singer said in a video statement. “I didn’t approve that video and it went out to the world, so I’m embarrassed.
“The video’s still one of my favourite videos I’ve ever done – I’m very proud of it – I’m just pissed off that they broke my ribs, you know?”
We’d be furious too, knowing that an self-empowerment anthem all about loving yourself just the way you are was twisted into something it’s clearly not and we’re incredibly proud of Meghan in return for standing up to the moronic powers that be (and that should know better). Kudos to you, lady.
