Nick Jonas is upset about something. So upset that he’s ready to take a chainsaw to the sofa and break the (expletive) china.
‘Chainsaw’, the latest track to be lifted from his forthcoming album ‘Last Year Was Complicated’, of course, is all about affairs of the heart and it’s clear from the first 60 seconds that he’s pining for a girl he once had, but has now lost.
So he’s wanting to dispose of all in his life that reminds him of her… the sofa, the china, the bed… and, given the size of the fire in the background in the closing scenes of the clip, Nick ain’t just toasting marshmallows.
It’s a smooth R&B pop number that seems to have borrowed a few elements from his smash hit single ‘Jealous’. And though the ‘Chainsaw’ is nowhere near as catchy as that single, it’s still another likeable notch in Nick’s growing pop belt.
