There’s no denying it… Jaymee Franchina is a young man going places.
With mixtapes (Taylor Swift vs the Hottest 100, anyone?) going viral, downloads in the millions, performances to sell-out crowds, slots on some of the biggest festival line-ups in the country and a following that would be the envy of many Aussie artists, it would appear that it’s only a matter of time before mainstream success on the global stage follows.
No surprise, then, that the Perth native has already caught the ear of the powers that be at our national broadcaster.
But what is surprising is that Jaymee does all of this while holding down a day job as a school teacher (predictably not for much longer, it must be said).
The next step in his musical evolution is the release of his own originals, the first of which we’re thrilled (and honoured) to premiere for you this morning.
The track is called ‘Only Way’ and it’s lifted from an imminent five track EP.
“It’s got a real electronic pop vibe inspired by the likes of DJ Snake and Major Lazer,” Jaymee says of the single.
It’s got a super-sweet R&B-esque vocal, as well as lashings of commercial appeal and we reckon you’re going to love it.
Check him out on FACEBOOK, TWITTER or on his BANDCAMP page.
