Well sir Bielfield, let’s hope that your just-announced ‘Boom And Bust’ EP, due for release early next month, results in far more of the former than the latter, thankyou very much.
You may remember the blue-eyed Sydney-based pop singer from his anthem ‘Kings & Queens’, which was used widely throughout this year’s Sydney Gay And Lesbian Mardi Gras. (Your favourite pop music website even premiered its promo video… HERE). Or you may remember him for his addictive breakout single ‘Frequency’ last year.
With a ballooning catalogue of so-hot-right-now pop favourites, however, it’s not going to be too hard to forget Biefield, who’s a self-professed pop fanatic.
Both ‘Kings & Queens’ and ‘Frequency’ feature on the ‘Boom And Bust’ EP, the former in both acoustic and Tracy Young remixed modes, along with new songs ‘Blow My Mind’ and ‘Boom And Bust’, which today also scores its own music video (below).
Armed simply with a white t-shirt, some face paint and a smile that could melt a cheese sandwich across the room, he and his team have created something entirely watchable.
Speaking of watchable, catch Bielfield performing at Arq in Sydney on Friday July 08 and at the Admit Love Party in Cairns on Saturday July 23.
The ‘Boom And Bust’ EP meantime, will be released on Friday July 08.
