‘Good Grief’! It is indeed the new single from British indie outfit Bastille, revealed today by their local label EMI.
The boys, who achieved top ten success with their debut album ‘Bad Blood’ and captured places in the Aussie top ten with their singles ‘Pompeii’ and ‘Of The Night’, have dropped the track across digital platforms today, at the same time confirming that their sophomore album is also incoming.
Though the all-important release date for ‘Wild World’ is still to be unveiled, EMI tells is that it pushes the band’s sound in “exciting new directions”.
“If our first album was about growing up and the anxieties surrounding it,” lead singer Dan Smith explains, “Our second is about trying to make sense of the world around you, both as you see it and as it’s presented to you through the media. It’s also about asking questions of the world and of the people in it.”
