British outfit Kaiser Chiefs have confirmed that they’ll release their new album ‘Stay Together’ in early October.
Though they’ve dotted our albums chart with their releases since their debut LP back in 2005, it was only 2008’s ‘Never Miss A Beat’ that managed to crack the top 50 on our singles chart.
New single ‘Parachute’ (the video for which – below – premiered a couple of days back) stands every chance of reversing that trend; a song that almost makes the transition from alt-rock/pop to pop/dance in much the same way Coldplay has on occasion throughout their back catalogue.
“‘Stay Together’ is our relationship album,” the band says in a statement. “Brian brought a very different approach to song writing and recording, it was a steep learning curve but together we tried out new ideas and sounds and ended up with a new and fresh sounding Kaiser Chiefs album. Like no Kaiser Chiefs record you have heard before.”
While ‘Parachute’ is out now, you’ll have to wait ’til Friday October 07 for the album.
