US pop songstress Selena Gomez must be doing something right, confirming second shows in Sydney and Melbourne as part of her upcoming Australian visit.
The singer was due to tour Australia back in February 2014, with arena shows locked in for all five main capital cities. Said dates were duly cancelled just a month out from when they were scheduled to take place.
And while the venues this time around might be somewhat smaller, there’s been a marked shift in the singer’s popularity over the course of the past two and a half years, with the singer’s first shows in both Sydney and Melbourne already sold out and Live Nation this morning confirming that there’s sufficient demand in both cities to warrant the addition of extra shows.
Selena will now play Melbourne’s Margaret Court Arena for two successive nights (August 06 and the new show on August 07) and Sydney’s Hordern Pavilion for two successive nights (August 09 and the new show on August 10).
Joe Jonas’ band DNCE will play the support role on all five dates.
Tickets for the new shows go on Telstra Thanks pre-sale from midday on Wednesday, with general public tickets hitting the sales desk from 1pm on Friday June 10.
