Fan of the ’90s? Then you’re going to love ‘Got The Feeling’, the hot new single from Sydney duo Tees, which is sure to fill you with feelings of love, happiness and perhaps more than a little nostalgia.
“‘Got The Feeling’ captures the purity of sensation outside of knowing,” bandmembers Lizzy Tillmand and Sean Duarte explain. “Sometimes we get lost and begin to question the truth of experience. ‘Got The Feeling’ reminds us to let go of complications and allow yourself to feel.”
‘Got The Feeling’ also captures that moment in time when European dance/house (songs like ‘Hold That Sucker Down’, ‘Let Me Show You’, ‘Slave To The Music’, ‘The Key : The Secret’ and ‘Give It Up’) was taking over our charts, with classic dance beats and stabs of piano.
The video? Well according to the band, it “captures the primal absurdity of human behaviour; seeking out textures and colours, transforming the purpose of mundane objects, all in the simple pursuit of sensation. Whatever its form, it feels good.”
To celebrate the release of ‘Got The Feeling’, the band has confirmed you’ll be able to get the feeling live, with shows locked in for Sydney, Melbourne and Wollongong.
June 19 : Melbourne (Shadow Electric)
