UK duo AlunaGeorge have confirmed they’ll release their sophomore album ‘I Remember’ in the middle of September (we should write songs with rhymes as boss as that).
Aluna and George’s new LP comes a smidge over three years after their debut effort ‘Body Music’ and just over a year since they nearly hit the top ten here with their DJ Snake collaboration ‘You Know You Like It’.
It won’t feature on the new LP, but their previous single ‘I’m In Control’, which dropped earlier this year, certainly will; as will (also previously released) ‘I Remember’ and ‘My Blood’, as well as new single ‘Mean What I Mean’, which was premiered earlier this week at Annie Mac’s ‘Hottest Record In The World’ on her BBC Radio 1 show.
“It started to feel a bit like we had all these friends in music that we liked hanging out with but we haven’t shared AlunaGeorge with anyone else, and at some point we were like ‘why not?,” Aluna explains “We wanted to let people in a bit more now that we’re more confident in our sound.”
Current single ‘Mean What I Mean’ is available as a grat track with the album pre-order ahead of its global release on Friday September 16.
