After sending us into a frenzy via his breakout single – a swoonsome cover of Steve Winwood’s classic ‘Higher Love’ – in early 2013, Irish singer songwriter James Vincent McMorrow soon became a firm favourite among Australian audiences.
His subsequent album release, ‘Post Tropical’, went into the top 30 down under and peaked at No.2 in his native Ireland.
Now, just a couple of weeks before he drops by our shores for a spell on the stage at Splendour In The Grass, James has confirmed that his third long player will see the light of day in September.
According to his label, ‘We Move’ is a record that deals honestly about anxiety. “(Instead of people) listening to my songs and believing that I’m out in the forest all day long, thinking about trees,” according to James himself. “I’m actually at home, trying to convince myself to go out and get milk.”
Lead single ‘Rising Water’ premiered just yesterday (listen HERE) and it’s clear that time hasn’t dulled that truly emotive, fragile vocal.
