Brisbane native Emma Louise’s breathy vocals captivated us from the moment we first clapped ears on them in her 2012 single ‘Boy’. And they’re in full flight again on her new single ‘I Thought I Was A Ship’, lifted from her newly released album ‘Supercry’.
The clip; elegant, simple, with a cascade of objects floating across the screen, including our leading lady, who delivers a beguilingly soft vocal performance that complements the minimalistic piano-led soundtrack perfectly. It’s all rather stunning.
It’s clear that ‘I Thought I Was A Ship’ isn’t single material, but it’s an utterly beautiful sub-five minute advertisement for the album, which is in-stores now.
