The new Zefereli single ‘Stupid Goodbye’ is so impossible to dislike; it’s warm, summery, friendly alt-pop that never shakes the smile from its face throughout its four minute run time.
And Alistar and Clea have succinctly wrapped up our feelings of travel in its official video (below), which is filled with scenes at the airport, planes flying through the sky, cruising above the clouds (a favourite) and long drives on foreign roads in far flung lands.
“The video was fun, I try to keep things fun,” Alistair explains, “although Clea sometimes gets sick of me pointing the camera at her all the time, I like those moments where the light seems right, or planes fly by. I love planes, so many goodbyes, of which I’m sure some of those were stupid.
“Eventually when I have money I’ll utilise some of the local film making talent available in Brisbane, but for now, I’m enjoying the basic iPhone slow mo. And zoom features.”
The band hits the road later this month in support of the new track; you’ll catch them at one of the following locations.
July 22 : Melbourne (Penny Black)
July 23 : Sydney (Vic On The Park)
July 29 : Brisbane (Bistroteque)
August 06 : Gold Coast (NightQuarter)
