Ms Katy Steele today confirms not only her new single ‘Where’s The Laughter’, but the forthcoming release of her new album ‘Human’ and a handful of national tour dates to boot.
First and foremost, however, is the hella-likeable new single ‘Where’s The Laughter’, which arrived digitally today.
“‘Where’s The Laughter’ is about that innocent moment of letting yourself go,” Katy explains. “Finding the humor and finding the freedom of being present.”
It’s the first little glimpse into the world that is Katy’s album ‘Human’, her first ever solo record, following on from her time out front of beloved WA outfit Little Birdy.
“Some of the tunes were written in Perth on a clunky upright in my parents front room. Some were written in an underground studio in Dumbo, Brooklyn. This debut really is a snapshot of the last few years of my life,” she says.
Preceding the album’s release on October 21, Katy will hit the road to showcase the material from it, confirming a handful of live shows across the country from early next month. Tickets are on sale now.
