We’re honoured to be partnering with 19 year old Sydney pop singer Marcelo this afternoon to premiere the video for his latest single ‘Won’t’.
As it happens, it’s also his first ever music video.
Marcelo has to be one of the hardest working young artists in the land, not just relying on the magic of social media to get the word out there about his likeable brand of pop, but also by hitting the road and paying intimate gigs in cities and towns across the country, building a national audience step by step.
The word’s slowly getting out there too; he’s recently scored support slots on gigs from the likes of Conrad Sewell, Little Sea and Andy Black and has another on the way with LA outfit Hey Violet next month.
Lifted from his recently released self-titled debut EP, ‘Won’t’ is all about a tenuous relationship based solely on a physical attraction and the music video, directed by Xinger Xanger and filmed in both Sydney and Paris, expands on the theme, as Marcelo explains.
“This video is something that completely captures my vision and experience of the song, it’s something I’m super proud to call my first music video,” he says. “I hope you love it as much as I do.”
So without further ado… The auspOp premiere of the music video for Marcelo’s ‘Won’t’.
