Pop icons Cyndi Lauper and Blondie will tour Australia together early next year.
The two acts this morning confirmed headline arena shows in both Sydney and Melbourne, in addition to a handful of A Day On The Green shows across the country.
The tour kicks off at Bimbadgen in the Hunter Valley on Saturday April 01 and will make stops in Mount Cotton, Sydney, Melbourne, the Yarra Valley, McLaren Vale and Kings Park in Perth.
And both Cyndi and Blondie will be rolling out the hits from their extensive back catalogues.
“You can’t miss this show. The bitches are coming back to make it happen in Australia just like they do it everywhere,” Debbie Harry said in a statement. “All the songs and music you want to hear from us and much much more… We’re looking to have the best tour in OZ ever!”
“Blondie were the true trailblazers of the New York City new wave and punk scenes,” Cyndi added. “As a young artist, they had such a big impact on me. I just thought that Debbie was so cool. She is still a hero of mine. I’m so excited to do this tour of Australia with them. We are going to have a blast!”
Tickets for all shows are on sale from 10am on Tuesday November 08.
