Mary J Blige recently delivered her first single of 2016, ‘Thick Of It’. Now said track comes with a music video.
And it has to be said, she looks incredible; it’s difficult to believe Ms Mary has been dropping her R&B/soul nuggets onto us for the past two and a half decades.
Oozing with class, the song has already topped the Billboard Adult R&B Songs chart and is already making its presence felt on the R&B/Hip-Hop Airplay chart Stateside too.
There’s no chance it’ll achieve anything like that here… after all, this blend of classy soul doesn’t ordinarily get a look-in on our mainstream charts. But it should.
We see Mary pouring her heart out here, all in the name of love. And it’s clear there are some real emotions at play behind its lyrics. All that glitters is gold. And this one’s a nugget.
