We reckon many a laugh was had during the shoot of the new Danielle Deckard single, ‘Put That Ring Away’.
After all, there’s Danielle dressed in a tuxedo and a fake moustache. There’s Sydney performer Julian Kuo dressed in a puffy-sleeved wedding dress. And there’s a supporting cast playing the roles of stereotypical wedding guests.
It’s a recipe that makes for a whole heap of fun, albeit with a serious underlying message; poking fun at the sanctity of marriage.
“I believe that a meaningful relationship exists between the two people who are in it, in all of the little ways that they express their affection,” Danielle says. “The daily acts of love, rather than a one-time grand gesture.”
“So put that ring away,” the lyrics read. “And cash it in, cash it in. We’ve got bills to pay. And I don’t need it, don’t need it. You should know that I’m here to stay. Darling put that ring away.”
If you’d like to see Danielle performing it live, catch her at one of the following launch shows;
