Sweden’s 2015 Eurovision winner Mans Zelmerlow has dropped the video for his latest single ‘Glorious’, the new track from his latest album.
Of course, his Eurovision single ‘Heroes’ remains pretty much his one and only hit outside his homeland; the competition failing to create any real long term commercial interest in the singer’s musical output.
That’s a shame, because there’s a likability and mainstream pop sensibility in this new track. And, for those who loved ‘Heroes’, a real familiarity too.
It’s danceable, comes with interesting chord structures and key changes and best of all, it gives Mans an opportunity to show off the vocal skills we grew to love him for back in Austria.
And the clip’s pretty good too; Mans getting back out into nature, where the director uses some pretty spectacular effects (lighting, wind, fog etc) to create a dark, mysterious atmosphere.
Mans’ new album ‘Chameleon’ is released digitally this Friday.
