Aussie super producer Flume has triumphed at the 2017 Grammy Awards, taking home the gong for Best Electronic/Dance Album.
He beat out some stiff (and legendary) competition for the award, including Underworld, Louie Vega and Jean-Michel Jarre and said while collecting his prize, “I’m really proud to be here representing Australia and Australian music on this stage right now.”
But though our very own Flume picked up a gong, it was (as expected) Adele’s night; the British superstar picking up the top three awards (Record Of The Year, Song Of The Year and Album Of The Year), as well as Best Pop Solo Performance and Best Pop Vocal Album.
She also paid tribute to the late, great George Michael, with a solemn performance of his smash hit ‘Fastlove’ (though she did almost perform it twice after starting the first rendition out of key).
