You remember Michelle Branch right? The acclaimed US songstress will release her fourth album ‘Hopeless Romantic’ in early April.
Michelle first rose to prominence here in Australia back in 2001 with her debut single ‘Everywhere’; a top 20 hit.
Though it was to be her only foray into our top 20, she made it into the top 50 again three times, with ‘All You Wanted’, ‘Are You Happy Now?’ and ‘Breathe’ before seemingly vanishing.
But, the comeback’s on; her first album in 14 long years is incoming in early April.
‘Hopeless Romantic’ sees Michelle getting a little introspective on us, turning the lyrical focus on herself.
“This is my first real-life autobiographical record,” she says of her fourth LP (her first with new label Verve).
“A lot of these songs are about heartbreak, but knowing that it doesn’t mean the end of the world. It just means letting go and moving on and knowing that you’re going to be okay.”
The title track is available as a grat track with the album pre-order and you’ll discover the other 13 songs accompanying it when ‘Hopeless Romantic’ drops on Friday April 07.
