It seems Victorians love Hanson; the US sibling trio confirming a second Melbourne show as part of their upcoming tour.
Announced last week, the boys’ 25th anniversary concerts will take place in the five main capitals, along with a show at The Star on the Gold Coast.
But it would appear they’re particularly popular in Melbourne, where tickets to their original date – at the Forum Theatre on June 18 – have completely sold out. This despite them only going on sale at 9am today.
As such, organisers have added a second show (the following night at the same venue) to cope with demand.
“Making music together for 25 years is a milestone that we had to acknowledge, and what better way to do it than an anniversary tour,” Taylor Hanson said of the band’s anniversary.
As mentioned, the boys will be rolling out fan favourites and their biggest hits, including ‘Where’s The Love?’, ‘I Will Come To You’, ‘Thinking Of You’ and their breakout international No.1 ‘MMMBop’.
They’ll also play material from some of their more recent albums and will give punters the opportunity to hear new music from an album project set to see the light of day next year.
Tickets for the new Melbourne date, meantime, are on sale now.
