Melbourne electronic outfit Miami Horror shapes the next chapter of their storied existence.
What started out as the brainchild of Melbourne’s Ben Plant has morphed into a fully fledged band, which a) is currently in the midst of an Australian tour and b) has just dropped a brand new EP called ‘The Shapes’.
According to founding member Ben, this time around the Miami Horror project is offering up something a little different.
“I’ve always been a fan of colourful art and murals, especially those from the late ’80s and early ’90s,” he explains.
“As a child, they excited and inspired me every time I passed them. This left a lasting effect on me into adulthood, a lust for colour and the extraordinary amongst the mundane colours of suburbia or the grey-ness of Melbourne city.”
Comprising five tracks in total, including lead single ‘Leila’ which dropped earlier this month, ‘The Shapes’ is out now.
