Taylor Dayne, Go West, Paul Young, Cutting Crew and Wang Chung are headed our way in November for the ’80s Mania tour.
US pop diva Taylor dotted our charts with a series of hits including ‘Tell It To My Heart’, ‘I’ll Be Your Shelter’, ‘Prove Your Love’, ‘Love Will Lead You Back’ and ‘Can’t Get Enough Of Your Love’ from the late ’80s to early ’90s.
UK pop duo Go West broke out with the top ten smash ‘We Close Our Eyes’ in 1985 and subsequently delivered ‘Call Me’, ‘Don’t Look Down’ and the inimitable ‘King Of Wishful Thinking’.
British band Cutting Crew scored their one and only top ten hit in Australia with their ’80s anthem and breakout out ‘(I Just) Died In Your Arms’, while Wang Chung gave us ‘Everybody Have Fun Tonight’, ‘Let’s Go’ and ‘Dance Hall Days’.
UK singer Paul Young succeeded with ‘Wherever I Lay My Hat (That’s My Home)’, ‘Love Of The Common People’, ‘Everytime You Go Away’, ‘Everything Must Change’ and came close to top 40 success here with his Zucchero duet ‘Senza Una Donna (Without A Woman)’ in the early ’90s.
All five acts will be in Australia in November this year as part of the ’80s Mania tour, which will make stops in all five main capitals, along with selected regional dates. Paul Young, however, will miss Perth.
A special one-off date at Hope Estate in the New South Wales Hunter Valley on November 04 will see the inclusion of John Paul Young, Pseudo Echo and The Chantoozies for ’80s Fest’, tickets for which are on sale now.
Tickets for ’80s Mania’, meanwhile, are on pre-sale from Tuesday March 21 before general public sales hit on Thursday March 23.
