As is the case every year, France will be automatically qualified for the Grand Final at Eurovision 2017.
That’s because they’re one of the so-called “big five”, along with United Kingdom, Germany, Italy and Spain.
As such, they don’t need to worry about whether or not they’ll get through to this year’s Grand Final on May 13.
They’re already there, along with ten countries from the first semi-final, ten countries from the second, the aforementioned other four nations and host nation Ukraine.
Alma is the woman tasked with bringing France glory in 2017.
She’ll be performing the part-French, part-English single ‘Requiem’.
The clip (below) is like a trip around the suburbs of Paris; a view of the Eiffel Tower never too far away.
The song itself is a cute enough pop number, but we’re not sure it’s strong enough for Eurovision glory.
Sept points.
