Belgium will hope to spend extra time in the city lights of Kiev at Eurovision 2017.
They’re competing as part of this year’s first semi final on May 09, up against the likes of Greece, Sweden and us Aussies.
But does Belgium have what it takes to progress to the Grand Final four nights later?
Their contestant this year – 17 year old Blanche – certainly has form, previously competition as part of her country’s edition of ‘The Voice’.
And while she didn’t make it through to the finals, she clearly impressed enough to score herself the prestigious gig of representing her country at Eurovision.
Her entry is called ‘City Lights’. It’s a cool, high energy dance number.
She’s got a really unusual voice too; really deep for a 17 year old. In fact, it’s kind of similar in style to some of her male contemporaries; soft, emotive, warm. Cool clip too.
It’s totally current… we reckon this stands a chance of being there right at the pointy end of the Grand Final.
It could well be our favourite. Douze points.
