It’s official… Splendour 2017 is a sell out.
The annual festival, which will return to the North Byron Parklands in Byron Bay from July 21 – 23, sold out within an hour of going on sale this morning.
And it’s no real surprise, given the extraordinary line-up of big names set to appear at the festival this year.
“Once again we have been overwhelmed by your love and enthusiasm for Splendour,” event co-producers Jessica Ducrou and Paul Piticco said in a statement. “We can’t wait to bring you another awesome show.”
And, given the record breaking amounts of rainfall the region has received recently, they’re ready to roll out assistance to those in need.
“Our thoughts are with all those in our local Northern NSW community that have been devastated by floods over the past week. We will be announcing a fundraising initiative soon to assist with the recovery. In the meantime, we’re sending you all our love.”
The festival line-up, revealed just over a week ago, comprises the likes of Tove Lo, LCD Soundsystem, Haim, Sigur Rós, Schoolboy Q, Vance Joy, Two Door Cinema Club, Queens Of The Stone Age, Peking Duk, Tash Sultana, Paul Kelly and Stormzy.
They’ll all appear, alongside Two Door Cinema Club, RL Grime, Future Islands, George Ezra, Banks, Cut Copy, AllDay, Meg Mac, Client Liaison, Thundamentals, Rag ‘N’ Bone Man, Maggie Rogers, The xx, AB Original, Oh Wonder, The Kite String Tangle, Young Franco, Julia Jacklin, Amy Shark, Bag Raiders, Bad//Dreems, Cosmo’s Midnight, Alice Ivy, Middle Kids, Pond, Vallis Alps, San Cisco, Lil Yachty and many more have also confirmed their attendance.
Yes, it’s going to be a monster three days.
