Just as we did on Wednesday morning, we’re bringing you the results of the semi final of Eurovision 2017.
But just as we did on Wednesday morning, we’re giving you plenty of opportunity to avert your eyes should you wish to remain blissfully unaware of the results until the re-broadcast on SBS tomorrow night.
As with the first semi-final, only ten countries have made it through to tomorrow night’s Grand Final, where they’ll take on the ten finalists from Tuesday’s semi-final, plus host nation Ukraine and the “big five” of France, UK, Germany, Spain and the favourite Italy.
We’re happy to report that Australia’s own Anja Nissen is through to the Grand Final (albeit representing Denmark) with her single ‘Where I Am’.
Israel’s Imri also made it past the semi-final phase, as did entrants from the Netherlands, Austria, Hungary, Norway, Croatia, Belarus, Bulgaria and Romania.
But sadly, with only ten countries moving through, the Eurovision ride is over for Serbia, Lithuania, Estonia, Macedonia, Switzerland, San Marino, Malta and poor Brendan Murray from Ireland, marking the fourth successive year Ireland’s entry has failed to make it to the Gran Final.
