Our countdown is now completed for 2017, but ahead of tonight’s first semi final, who’s the Eurovision favourite?
Pretty much all the way through the lead-up to this year’s competition, Italy’s Francesco Gabbani has been the frontrunner.
And as the first of the semi finals approaches, his position remains secure; his single ‘Occidentali’s Karma’ is favourite to win Eurovision 2017.
Portugal’s Salvador Sobral is also very much in the hunt, as is Sweden’s Robin Bengtsson in position three.
The UK should take some solace from the fact this year that they’re currently expected to place in the top ten this year, something they haven’t managed since 2009. Though could last year’s Brexit decision change all that on Grand Final night?
Our very own Isaiah Firebrace was among the early favourite to finish within the top five.
But as the competition has neared, his odds have blown out and it’s now predicted he’ll finish outside the top ten, behind fellow Aussie Anja Nissen, who’s competing for Denmark.
Albania, the Czech Republic, Malta and San Marino are the countries currently at the opposite end of the betting to where they’d like to be.
