Some of Australia’s favourite performers are coming together to tackle the issue of domestic and family violence.
Former ‘X Factor’ winner Isaiah, Kate Ceberano, Katie Noonan, Montaigne, Troy Cassar-Daley and Archie Roach all appear on the new recording; a cover version of John Farnham’s classic ‘You’re The Voice’.
Released yesterday, profits from the single’s sale will go the Sony Foundation, which in turn will forward them to DV Connect, a Queensland-based organisation which provides around the clock crisis response to people experiencing domestic and family violence.
“I’m so proud of the positive response from the Australian community and music industry in rallying together to support this initiative,” says Katie Noonan, whose original idea initiated this process. “It is a testament to the power of music being able to make a difference.”
