We’re no strangers to covering Melbourne’s Jason Singh on the pages of auspOp. And today, we’re doing it again.
Jason has been pretty busy of late, recently releasing six new singles in twelve months as part of the ‘Jason Singh Project’.
He and his band Taxiride are also celebrating their 20th anniversary in 2017 and he’ll be supporting Hanson on their upcoming Australian tour.
So he could be excused for kicking up his feet and taking it easy during the downtime.
That’s not, however, what he’s doing, dropping his new solo single ‘Strangers’ just before the weekend.
According to his team the new single “takes a huge leap into the adult contemporary space offering both modern sophistication and edge”; a marked departure in sound from his previous more pop-leaning tracks.
It’s a beautiful piano ballad that we reckon mightn’t sound out of place at a wedding ceremony… just before and/or after the bride and groom/bride and bride/groom and groom have said their ‘I dos’.
Jason’s also used plenty of restraint with the vocals to ensure the song is soft, sweet and touching.
