It’s not often you’ll get artists of the calibre of Ben Folds taking requests on tour, but he’ll do precisely that in February.
The acclaimed performer will bring his ‘Paper Aeroplane’ tour down under for shows across the country from early February, kicking off with a show at The Tivoli in Brisbane on February 04.
From there, dates are locked for Sydney, Canberra, Adelaide, Perth (as part of the Perth Festival) and Hobart. Though there’s no Melbourne show to speak of for now, we’re told by Chugg Entertainment that one is to be announced shortly.
The shows will be in two parts; the first featuring Ben performing tracks from throughout his varied career. The second will allow audience members to request songs, written onto sheets of paper, made into paper aeroplanes, then flighted onto the stage.
Tickets for all dates are on sale at 9am local time this Friday.
