Gorgeous auspOp favourite Kate Miller-Heidke has announced ‘Live At The Sydney Opera House’, a new live album due imminently.
Recorded with the Sydney Symphony Orchestra back in March, the new album features gorgeous new live interpretations of some of Kate’s biggest hits, including ‘Caught In The Crowd’, ‘O Vertigo!’, ‘Can’t Shake It’ and ‘The Last Day On Earth’.
“Performing my songs for three nights in a row with the SSO at the Sydney Opera House was an absolute career highlight, a crazy pinch-myself moment that even now doesn’t seem quite real,” Kate explains.
“The members of the Sydney Symphony Orchestra are a dedicated, passionate group of musicians and represent the pinnacle of what it means to devote your to life to music. To perform with them at your back is, to say the least, a little intimidating. I can’t imagine bungee jumping could be any more exhilarating.”
A total of 16 songs are included on the physical edition, while the digital version benefits from the addition of ‘God’s Gift To Women’.
Both are out on Friday August 11.
