• It’s a mini midweek serve of The Purge and Aussie songstress Wafia has confirmed that her new EP ‘VIII’ will be released via Future Classic on October 13. To celebrate, she’ll be hitting the road for a trio of live dates, kicking off with the support role on the London Grammar date in Brisbane on September 23, before performing Sydney and Melbourne shortly thereafter. Sydney gets a gig at the Oxford Art Factory on September 29. Melbourne audiences will see her perform at the Corner Hotel on October 05. Tickets are on sale now.
• The countdown to the Road To Ultra Music Festival is getting even closer, with tickets to the February 2018 event going on sale this Thursday. It’s the first time the festival has been seen in Australia and it’s set to take over Melbourne’s Sidney Myer Music Bowl on Saturday February 24. Further details, including the all-important line-up, are coming soon. The full-scale Ultra Music Festival is set to make its way down under in 2019.
• And up and coming US rapper 6lack will be in Australia in October, not only as the support on the upcoming Migos tour, but now for a pair of headline dates; one each in Sydney and Melbourne. He’ll play the Metro Theatre in Sydney on October 11 before zipping down to Melbourne for a show at 170 Russell on October 16. Frontier members get first dibs on tickets from tomorrow before general public tickets go on sale this Monday, August 21.
