The 2017 ARIA Awards nominees list is in, with Gang Of Youths and Paul Kelly leading the nominations race.
But pop’s not entirely overlooked, with Amy Shark and Jessica Mauboy scoring six nominations apiece and Dean Lewis and Sia picking up five each.
AB Original, Amy Shark, Gang Of Youths, Illy and Paul Kelly will battle it out for the coveted Album Of The Year gong, while the Song Of The Year category will be handed over to the general public vote.
Jessica Mauboy will contest the Best Female Artist category against Julia Jacklin, Meg Mac, Amy Shark and the all-conquering Sia, while the Best Male Artist gong will be fought over by DD Dumbo, Illy, Vance Joy, Paul Kelly and Dan Sultan.
The winners will be revealed at the 2017 ARIA Awards, to be held at the Star Event Centre in Sydney on Tuesday November 28.
