Former ‘X Factor’ winner Cyrus Villanueva is back, with a new single entitled ‘Don’t Let Me Know’.
The track arrived at Australian media outlets this morning ahead of its digital release tomorrow.
The Sydney-based performer has changed tack again with this new single; his label Sony describing the track as a “driving pop melody”.
“We wrote the song quite quickly, and the demo actually sounded like a finished product within about five hours,” Cyrus explains.
“The concept sprang from something I had recently gone through, and after a long chat about bad past memories, our personal experiences merged together to create this piece.
“The core of the song isn’t about heartbreak, betrayal, or sadness, but rather understanding negative issues that exist, and placing yourself away from those undesirable circumstances.
“Sometimes we just don’t want to hear an explanation, because that causes more scarring than simply ending the relationship.”
‘Don’t Let Me Know’ was co-penned by Cyrus alongside Nash Overstreet and Aaron Zuckerman of Milk And Honey fame.
It’s out tomorrow.
