After thousands of votes from you over the past two weeks, we can now reveal the top five in each of the categories for The auspOp Awards.
Voting ran red hot throughout the two year period and certain artists’ fandoms were out in force to ensure they’d be making it through to the final five.
In the artist of the year voting, for example, some of Australia’s biggest stars missed out on the final round, including Guy Sebastian, Samantha Jade, Ricki-Lee… even Sia!
The top five in the Artist Of The Year (in no particular order) are…;
Jessica Mauboy, Anthony Callea, Faydee, Dami Im and Delta Goodrem.
Similarly in the Song Of The Year category, some of our biggest artists’ biggest songs also missed out.
The top five in the Song Of The Year category are (again in no particular order)…;
In Stereo’s ‘Bad For Me’, Faydee’s ‘When I’m Gone’, Jessica Mauboy’s ‘Fallin’, Alfie Arcuri’s ‘Love Is Love’ and Dean Lewis’ ‘Waves’.
And over in the Independent Artist Of The Year category, the fandoms were again out in force; the final five made up of Sia, Nick De La Hoyde, Dean Ray, Danielle Deckard and Rachael Leahcar.
Some artists and their tracks missed the top five by only a few votes, meaning that every vote from here to the finish line could make all the difference as to whether your favourite artist triumphs in our first ever auspOp Awards.
This second and final phase of voting is live through until Sunday November 26, after which the votes will be tallied and the winners decided.
We’ll announce the winners of each of the three awards in the middle of December.
You’ll be able to vote once per day.
Stay tuned for more updates.
