Great news for fans of Melbourne-based performer Youthfire, with the release of new single ‘Lift Me Up’.
The performer’s new single comes just two months after his last (‘Puppet’) and, along with another bed of blissful electronica, this one also comes with a story that’s straight from the heart.
It’ll join ‘Puppet’, plus ‘Wasting Away’, ‘Human’ and ‘Run’ on Youthfire’s EP of the same name, due to land on Friday week.
“All of the songs on this record were written over the last 6 years where I share my personal coming out journey,” he explains.
“I wanted to open up and to allow myself to be as vulnerable as possible, because, for such a long time I felt that I had to hide apart of myself in order to survive.
“I think that’s part of the reason why I wanted to create something that is so fiercely and unapologetically honest. I don’t want to hide myself any longer. I want to feel. To be loved for who I am.
“It’s safe to say that this record is so personal and so very close to my heart and I could not be prouder of it.”
‘Lift Me Up’ is available now; the EP lands at digital providers everywhere on Friday November 24.
