2018 marks a new beginning for Instereo and they’re kicking off their new chapter with their new track ‘Cruel’.
With the departure of Ethan Karpathy over the Christmas/New Year break, Chris Lanzon and Jakob Delgado will march confidently on as Instereo, now as a duo.
“In the past we’ve sometimes been pigeon-holed as a reality boy band,” Chris explains. “Now we’ve had an opportunity to reinvent ourselves and create music with different flavours; merging pop, R&B and electronica.”
And the loss of one third of the band doesn’t seem to have done them any harm, however; the ‘Cruel’ video blasting through more than 30,000 views in just a few days.
It sees the lads kicking up the red dust of Silverton, a ghost town near Broken Hill.
“In Silverton, there was nowhere to go, nothing to do, and nobody to talk to, which is exactly what ‘Cruel’ is about,” explains Jacob.
