The 2018 APRA Awards took over Sydney’s International Convention Centre last night, with some big pop names among the winners.
Australian singing/songwriting icon Paul Kelly took home one of the gongs of the night; that for APRA Song Of The Year for his single ‘Firewood And Candles’, which he co-penned with Billy Miller.
AB Original’s success with their 2017 album ‘Reclaim Australia’ helped them pick up the coveted Songwriter Of The Year awards.
The Breakthrough Songwriter Of The Year Award went to 23 year old Sarah Aarons. Though most won’t know her name, some may know her for her co-write of the Zedd chart monster ‘Stay’.
