Foreigner, the band who brought us the seminal ’80s classic ‘I Want To Know What Love Is’, will tour Australia orchestrally in October.
Chugg Entertainment have this morning confirmed that the band will be here for shows in Sydney, Melbourne, Perth, Adelaide and Canberra; the new dates alongside their appearance on the ‘Rock The Boat’ cruise that’s due to sail out of Sydney from October 21.
The band will tour in support of their upcoming album ‘Foreigner with the 21st Century Symphony Orchestra & Chorus’, which will be released on CD/DVD on Friday April 27.
They’ll be playing the hits that made them famous, including ’80s classics ‘Feels Like The First Time’, ‘Waiting For A Girl Like You’, ‘Cold As Ice’ and their aforementioned global smash.
The tour kicks off at Canberra’s Royal Theatre on Friday October 12 before moving across to Adelaide and Perth. They’re in Sydney for a show at the Opera House on October 18 before hopping on the cruise and will then head south for their Melbourne date.
Pre-sales kick off from 1pm local time this Wednesday ahead of general tickets, which are on sale from midday local time on Friday April 20.
