Today marks the end of the line for Aussie boyband In Stereo after almost four years.
You may recall earlier this year that members Jakob Delgado and Chris Lanzon confirmed that, following the departure of Ethan Karpathy, they would carry on as a duo.
They also dropped their first new music of 2018 in the form of single ‘Cruel’.
But new came late today from Jakob that the boyband dream was officially over.
“After four years of unforgettable experiences, thousands of kilometres travelled and all the awesome shows we played, we have decided to end In Stereo,” he said on his social media handles.
“This decision was not an easy one, but was based on the realisation that we both really wanted to pursue our own projects. We could not do this and In Stereo at the same time and give our 100% to both.
“I have been working on my own music for some time now and have fallen deeply in love with it, I am hoping that when I release this music to the world, that you will also fall in love with it.
“I would like to thank everyone who has supported In Stereo throughout the years. I’ll never forget this for as long as I live.”
In Stereo first rose to national prominence via the 2015 edition of ‘The X Factor’ and went on to build a strong legion of fans across the country.
They also enjoyed two top 20 EPs, including their ‘The Speed Of Sound’ EP back in 2016, which peaked at No.3.
