We’re one step closer to the release of the new Christina Aguilera album with the reveal of the video for ‘Fall In Line’.
It it, of course, lifted from Christina’s upcoming eighth studio album ‘Liberation’, due on Friday June 15.
It follows on from the not-so-radio-friendly ‘Accelerate’ (with 2 Chainz & Ty Dolla $ign), which premiered recently.
‘Fall In Line’ has much greater pop credentials. It’s a Christina ballad, so plenty of big notes and vocal flourishes abound.
It’s also a collaboration with fellow pop princess Demi Lovato, who shows up for the second verse.
And it’s a big female empowerment number, all about refusing to conform to what it means to be a woman; particularly poignant in the age of #MeToo.
It’s also got a great (widescreen) music video in which the pair kicks some serious futuristic soldier arse.
