France will perform once only at the 2018 Eurovision Song Contest in the hope of taking home the spoils.
They’ll be taking to the stage in the Grand Final next Saturday night as one of the “big five” countries (alongside Germany, Spain, Italy and the UK).
The French will also have to contend with host nation Portugal in the Gran Final, as well as the 20 other nations that have made their way through from the two semis.
As always, they’ll be performing their track in their native tongue.
No, Madame Monsieur isn’t some kind of drag performer; merely a musical duo made up of Émilie Satt and Jean-Karl Lucas. Their since ‘Mercy’ has already hit the top five in France.
But will they be able to add to France’s Eurovision haul of seven third places, four second place finishes and five wins?
It’s got an important message (about the mass migration of refugees throughout Europe over the past few years) and it’s got a really cool sound.
We’re really quite digging this one. Ounze points.
