Our Countdown To Eurovision is almost over for another year, but not before we check out the 2018 entry from Ukraine.
The 2018 Eurovision Song Contest kicks off tonight (Tuesday) European time with the first of the semi finals.
The second semi final takes place on Thursday night, with ten countries from each moving through to the Grand Final on Saturday night.
There, they’ll square off against the “big five” of Spain, Italy, Germany, France and the UK, as well as host nation Portugal.
But how will Ukraine fare in 2018?
Well Mélovin will be the last competitor to take to the stage on Thursday night in the hope of securing victory.
You may recall that Ukraine hosted last year’s Eurovision, after triumphing in 2016 with the slightly political ‘1944’ by Jamala.
The Ukrainians also won back in 2004, making for two wins, two second places and one third in their 14 appearances. Not a bad effort.
With his spooky coloured contact lens and sultry demeanour, we were half expecting a Marilyn Manson-esque rock number.
Instead, we’ve got a punch Ronan Keating-esque pop number with broad commercial appeal. But is it special enough?
It’s likeable, we’ll give it that. Huit points.
