Aussie performer Dean Lewis will be armed with new music for his Splendour performance this month; new single ‘Be Alright’.
The track was released digitally on Friday and has already been making quite the impact, rocketing into the top five on iTunes and notching around the 100,000 view mark on YouTube.
Put plainly… it’s a cracker.
“‘Be Alright’ is actually written about a few different relationships, some were mine and some from friends,” Dean explains. “I took little bits and pieces from each experience and combined them in to one song.
“For people worried about me ’cause the song’s so sad – trust me I’m ok… the song is actually about hope and knowing that in the end things will work out, surrounding yourself with good people.”
Not that his past musical output has been poor (on the contrary), but ‘Be Alright’ feels like a big, bold step up for Dean. Let go.
