Following on from the recent release of the single, we’re thrilled to premiere the video for Indy Stanton’s ‘It’s OK To Say Goodbye’.
The Adelaide singer songwriter has already been enjoying support from the team at Triple J Unearthed and, if this new track is any indication, it’s safe to assume The Js won’t be the last radio station jumping on board throughout Indy’s career.
“‘It’s OK To Say Goodbye’ is a close-up look into the way my mind works sometimes,” Indy reveals. “It’s that whole ‘if you love someone, let them go’ mentality. I definitely learnt my lessons in love the hard way and this song is an example of that.
“It’s really scary for me to be so vulnerable and just let the entire world see my insecurities and mistakes that I’ve made but it’s also kind of empowering because I know I’m not alone and I know that a lot of people can relate to thinking you’re doing the right thing, only to realise far too late that it wasn’t the right thing at all.
“It sucked. I was hurting and this song is what I made with all of that.”
All that heartache and anguish is wrapped in an ever-so-palatable synth-pop package and it comes complete with a colourful, seriously watchable music video, in which Indy is surrounded by a trio of male acrobats/dancers.
Keep your eyes peeled for Indy’s debut album ‘The Candle Room’, coming soon.
But in the meantime, enjoy the auspOp premiere of Indy Stanton’s ‘It’s OK To Say Goodbye’ video.
