Introducing Brother Leo, an intriguing new act out of Sweden with an intriguing debut single called ‘Strangers On An Island’.
Even more intriguing is its colourful music video (below), which features synchronised swimming, bed surfing, pink hair, a bathtub, miniature palm trees and a chorus line in the change rooms.
Swedish pop aficionados will need no introduction to the man behind Brother Leo, however.
His real name is Ola Svensson. And he’s been a purveyor of quality Swedish pop for years, hitting No.1 in Sweden six times (our favourite track of his is most definitely ‘Love In Stereo‘).
“Brother Leo means freedom. The name comes from a reoccurring dream I had as a kid,” Ola explains. “In the dream I had a twin brother, he was a free spirit, brave, confident and always had the answers to everything. He had superpowers and his name was Leo.
Though this new track is quite a departure from some of his older work, it’s got some serious production clout behind it (how does the name Fatboy Slim grab you?).
