UK pop starlet Lily Allen has followed up the release of her new album ‘No Shame’ with confirmation of an Australian tour.
The album itself holds personal meaning for Lily; she penned it following a “tumultuous” time in her life. But though it contains some dark themes, it also contains much optimism.
“There’s no shame in anything I’m saying,” she reveals. “When I started writing the record I was in a sad, dark place, and this record could almost be starting at midnight, and getting through to the end of the day.
“It’s been cathartic for me. There’s no two ways about it. It starts in a dark place, for a reason, then ends up in a more optimistic place, for a reason.”
Lily will take the ‘No Shame’ show on the road early in the new year; dates are locked in our four most populous cities.
The run kicks off in Sydney on February 05 and is due to wrap seven days later in Perth.
Frontier members will be the first to get access to tickets, from 11am AEST on Thursday.
General tickets are then on sale from 11am local time on Tuesday September 11.
